Secret Santa

Eve was very excited about the gift exchange. Wanting to spread a little joy this season. Sadly she had a really hard time picking a gift for her Secret Santa . It's not easy getting a gift for someone you've never really talked to before, and harder still when there wish list only consisted of money and friendship. Was it really okay to just give someone money as a gift? Seemed kinda tacky.
Over the weeks she pulled double shifts at her job so she could earn enough money to get Skyler a gift. But the more she pondered on what to get him, the more confused she got about what he would like. What do boys like anyway?
Finally the deadline came to an end and still with no ideas on a gift, she just stuffed the money she earned in an envelope and ran off to find him. She paused when she saw a rental store and saw the Miss Claus costume in the window. Maybe, if she couldn't get him a real gift. An little experience might make the whole thing worth it. Paying for a short term rental on the uniform she quickly put it on and dashed out the door. When she found him she called out to him. "Hello!"
She stood there in a Santa dress that was obviously much to big for her small size, constantly pulling the hat on her head up because it slipped over her eyes. "I'm your Secret Santa!" She said with a bright smile. Secret Santa, get it? cuz she's dressed up as a Santa. She pulled back her overly long sleeves so she could pulled out her gift for him from her bag.
"I don't know you very well... But I though really really hard about what to get you... But in the end I couldn't figure one out... sorry..." She said a little down hearted. It must be lousy to just get a bunch of money as a gift. She held out the envelope in her tiny hands, sleeves slipping past her fingers, unable to keep themselves pulled up. "But... Here's some money... I know it isn't much... But at least this way, you can get something you really want!" This was better then getting him something blindly and find out he doesn't like it, right?
She fidgeted a bit, worried he might not be happy about her gift. "But.... Ummmm..." She paused trying to find the words. "But Maybe... We can try being friends. If we're friends I can get to know you better and find out the kinda stuff you really like. And I can promise and even BETTER gift next year!" She promised with enthusiasm in her voice. She was bound and determined to get him something more thoughtful then a card stuffed with money.  She held out her hand to him for a hand shake and gave him her best smile.
